Coniston Mountain Rescue responded to a call out involving an unresponsive male.
On Saturday, February 10, Coniston Mountain Rescue were called out at around 6pm (18:00) to Bursting Stone Quarry after Cumbria Police were called.

Three men were camping and one of them called Cumbria Police because another was unresponsive on the ground with a head injury.
Coniston despatched three Land Rovers up into the quarry and once located they made their way across the quarry to them.
On arrival the casualty was found underdressed and very cold, once the head injury was treated the man was clothed and stretchered to the Land Rovers for evacuation.
The party was then driven down to Coniston Mountain Rescue base to be warmed up and reunited with two of their mothers.
The casualty was taken to Furness General Hospital for further assessment.
Two police officers joined the nine volunteer team members who attended this incident, as a precaution since the circumstances of the incident were not clear at the start.
However, although close to the incident, their involvement was not required.
The Mountian rescue teams in Cumbria are not government funded and are supported through donations.
