The Blind Bus Driver Speakeasy will once again host the event, providing an intimate boudoir type setting along with a menu of intricate and delicious hand-crafted cocktails.
The evening, hosted by Nova, will see the return of another local favourite, hilarious Drag King, Andi Blewitt.

Guests are encouraged to come ‘dressed to slay!’, to theme ‘Heartbreaker’. interpret as you wish, just don’t out do the host!
SLAY! was created by Creative Producer, Kay Trayford, in a bid to bring more Queer cultural events and activity to rural and remote locations in and around Cumbria.
Since creating SLAY! in 2022, Kay has gone onto work with Muncaster Castle, developing the estate’s first LGBT+ evening event, Dragcaster, has worked closely with Kendal Pride Festival and launched a brand new queer events platform, House of Drag.
“My aim was to cause a little noise and bring a little more Queer to the countryside” Kay states.
“After residing here for almost two years, I felt the location was severely lacking in LGBT+ focused cultural events and activity especially in rural and remote areas.
The first SLAY! event was a resounding success, and I am very much looking forward to bringing this event back to Kendal.” Kay adds.
“There is definitely an audience and a big community here who want this sort of content.”
