Workington And Maryport Fire Crews Respond To Early Morning House Fire

Workington and Maryport Fire Stations had to jump into action after reports of a house fire.

Thursday, February 1, the fire and rescue service called out to their first house fire of the month.

Service personnel requires the use of two breathing apparatus, a hose reel, thermal image camera and a positive pressure fan were used to deal with the incident.

The Workington and Maryport crews confirmed ‘luckily’ no one was injured.

They said: “We just want to remind you about the importance of having working smoke alarms and safely disposing of cigarettes.”
