Cumbria Police have charged a man in connection with an assault in Cockermouth and remind people about prejudicing investigations.
The incident took place on January 22 when a man in his 30s, suffered serious facial injuries which required medical treatment.
Gareth Skillen, aged 41, of Ribton Close, Cockermouth, has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
He will remain in police custody until he appears before Workington Magistrates’ Court on January 29.
