Returning to Workington Leisure Centre Mark Jenkinson, MP for Workington, will be hosting the Workington Skills Fair.
Taking place on Thursday, February 8, at the Workington Leisure Centre, 3-7pm, the event coincides with National Apprenticeship Week.

Mark Jenkinson MP said: “Following on from the great success of last year’s inaugural event, my skills fair is back by popular demand. Even bigger and better than the first, it will showcase all the exciting job and training opportunities on offer in our area.
“It will match young people with prospective employers, helping them to fulfil their potential.
“Equally importantly, the skills fair will put employers in touch with the talent they need to help them to grow their business or to realise their own aspirations for the future.
“This year’s skills fair will bring together organisations from across the county, including Persimmon Homes, Gen2, University of Cumbria and The Cumberland, and I would urge anyone who is serious about their future to pop in.
“Last year’s event was incredibly well-attended, and I know that job seekers and exhibitors alike benefitted hugely from the experience.”
Workington Skills Fair will host over 50+ exhibitors from a variety of sectors, and will include training facilities, further education and apprenticeship providers and employers.
With support from Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership, Energus, Gen2, Lakes College, JTL, The Cumberland Building Society, University of Cumbria, Inspira, Sizewell C, Persimmon and SP Training there will be plenty of information on offer for all sectors.
