Keswick Mountain Rescue were called out to aid the Great North Air Ambulance Service after a 60 year old cyclist collapsed.

Passers by had alert the medical services that a man had collapsed with a suspected heart attack at Springs Wood near Keswick Mountain Rescue’s base.
With an ambulance team and the Great North Air ambulance already providing emergency medical assistance the Keswick team were called to provide extra support.
The team helped to transfer the casualty to the waiting ambulance for transport to Cumberland Infirmary.
Unfortunately despite everyone’s best efforts the man could not be resuscitated and later died in hospital.
