Man Stopped By Cumbria Police For No Car Tax Or Insurance Arrested For Drug Driving

A man, who was initially stopped for having no insurance and no tax, has been arrested for drug driving.

Cumbria Police confirmed officers from Cumbria Constabulary Nuclear Estates Team (CCNET) carried out vehicle checks around Sellafield and located a vehicle showing no insurance and no tax in Gosforth.

On speaking with the driver for these offences officers carried out a roadside drug wipe – and it came back positive for Cocaine.

A 31-year-old man was arrested for Section 5A drug driving, no insurance and no tax.
