A Whitehaven maritime landmark is set to be tidied up as maintenance begin.

The restored North Pier Lighthouse is set to see the beginning of a three year maintenance contract that was awarded to CRS Facility Management.

Taking to social media the company stated: “As we begin the new year we also begin the initial stages of the Lighthouse Maintenance Schedule.

“The program spans over 3 years involving a mixture of planned, preventative & reactive maintenance.

“This month the #CRSFM team tackle rust stains and problem areas within the external cast iron gutter on North Lighthouse.”
