A fatal collision is being investigated by Cumbria Police.

The two-vehicle collision involving a Jaguar car and a delivery van occurred on the A590 near Gilpin Bridge yesterday morning, January 2, at around 9am.

The driver of the Jaguar, a man in his 20s from the Leicestershire area, died following the collision.

The driver of the van was uninjured.

The road was fully reopen by 6pm on Tuesday.
