With a New Year comes new opportunities and with the annual Carlisle Skills Fair set to be the biggest yet there is no time like the present to look.
The 10th Anniversary Carlisle Skills Fair hosted by John Stevenson MP is set for Thursday, January 25, 2.00-6.30pm at Carlisle College.
Speaking John said: “The clock striking midnight on New Year’s Eve often turns thoughts to a fresh start and a time for change in the year ahead.
“For some this may be the first steps on a career path, with a training course or an apprenticeship programme.
“For others it may be a change of workplace or a change of job and for some it may be the first steps to returning to work following a career break.
“I would encourage anyone who is interested in new opportunities in the local area, to attend to find out more.”
This year, over 70 local employers and education, training and skills providers are set to attend.
This is the largest number of employers and skills providers from the Carlisle area under one roof, since the Skills Fair began over ten years ago.
Some of those attending are Carlisle College, Gen2, Inspira, Jobcentre Plus, JTL Training, Lakes College, PHX Training, SP Training, University of Cumbria, Cumberland Building Society, Persimmon and Pladis.
