Three people have been charged them with burglary after a report that WHSmith in Workington was broken into.

Cumbria Police received a call at around 3.40am on Saturday, December 30, responded they made three arrests in the vicinity of the town centre, two men and a woman.

On Sunday, December 31, Steven Hilland, 57, of Hillcrest, Northside, Workington, Thomas Dempsey, 34, of London Road, Carlisle and Caitlin Wilson, 22, of Derwent Avenue, Seaton have all been charged with burglary.

They have been remanded in police custody to attend Workington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 2.
