A man arrested as part of an on-going investigation into the death of a man in Workington has been released on police bail.

A 33-year-old man was found deceased on Christmas Day in his home address at Clay Street, Workington.

Police were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service shortly after 5:55pm on 25 December.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder but has now been bailed whilst investigations continue to ascertain the exact circumstances of the man’s death.

The investigation may take some time to ascertain these facts.
