Workington Comets have made Finland international Antti Vuolas their fourth signing for the 2024 season.
24 year old Vuolas is another exciting rider with international and European experience having claimed bronze medal in the European Pairs Championship with fellow countryman Timo Lahti back in October.

Workington Speedway promoter, Andrew Bain is excited at the prospect of Vuolas at Northside: “We have been looking at Antti for a while now, he’s still young but has already beaten some world class riders on the continent, so for him to agree to ride for us in 2024 is testament to what we’ve achieved here at Northside.
“Antti has already expressed to me how good the new Northside track looks on social media, but when he gets here I think he will love it even more and it will suit him down to the ground. Also our fans I’m sure will give him a very warm welcome.”
Representing Finland in the 2023 Speedway World Cup in Wroclaw, Vuolas left fans with a memorable Heat 6 race victory where he beat former World Champions and SGP riders Dane Nicki Pedersen and Australian Jason Doyle.
The Finn comes with experience in the Polish Ekstraliga where he sits second in the U24 Polish Ekstraliga averages and has been called up to the Lublin senior side.
Vuolas joins Craig Cook, Sam McGurk and Tate Zischke at Northside with two riders left to be announced before the season starts in March.
