Penrith AFC Ladies Join Four Team Tie At Top Of North West Women’s Regional Football League

The North West Women’s Regional Leagues continue to provide plenty of tension as Penrith AFC Ladies join four teams at the top of Division One.

In the Premier Division Cheadle Town are now solely leading the division after a 2-1 home win against Bury on Sunday, November 26, as Curzon Ashton beat Salford City 4-1 and Fleetwood Town’s game with Blackburn Community was postponed.

It is a full fixture list on Sunday, December 3, as Cheadle Town head to Bury while Tranmere head to Darwen and Curzon Ashton travel to West Didsbury.

Blackburn Community host Fleetwood Town Wrens while Blackpool head to Crewe Alexandra.

All three Cumbrian sides were in action in Division One North on Sunday, November 26, as Carlisle United lost 0-2 to Radcliffe and Workington went down 0-4 to unbeaten Mancunian Unity while Penrith won 0-1 at Preston North End to make it a joint top four.

Penwortham Town’s game with Accrington Stanley was postponed.

Only two games survive the extreme weather conditions affecting Cumbria on Sunday, December 2, as Fleetwood Town face unbeaten Mancunian Unity and Haslingden welcome Penwortham Town.

In Division One leaders Wythenshawe ran out 1-4 winners at Litherland Remyca as they continued their unbeaten run and Runcorn Linnets dropped to fourth as Chester moved into second with a 2-4 win on Sunday, November 26.

Warrington Town are up to third with a 0-5 win at Hindley while Ellesmere Port move above Mossley Hills after beating them 2-1.

Wythenshawe play the return fixture against Litherland on Sunday, December 2, while Chester host Altrincham and Warrington head to Northwich.

In the mid-table battle Ellesmere travel to St Helens and Poulton play Hindley.
