Cumbria Police is appealing for witnesses following a three-car collision on the A591 near Sizergh.

The collision occurred at around 8:10am today, November 9, involving a Mazda MX-5, Audi Q3 and a BMW 118D.

The driver of the Mazda a man in his 20s was taken to Preston hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Audi a man in his 60s and a passenger a woman in her 50s suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the BMW a woman in her 30s was uninjured.

The road remains closed whilst officer carry out their investigations. Closures are in place at Shenston, Plumgarth roundabout and Brettagh Holt. roundabout.
