The Lancashire FA Women’s County Leagues Are Providing Plenty Of Competitive Football

The Lancashire FA Women’s County Leagues are proving to be very competitive with a five way tie for second in the Premier Division.

In the Premier Division the top two were due to meet on Sunday, September 24, but GT7 Acadmey game with Colne was postponed.

Wigan Athletic’s 0-11 win at Chorley moves them into second and Clitheroe take fourth with a 7-0 victory over Sir Tom Finney.

Burnley lost 0-2 to Stanwix and Accrington Stanley and Blackpool shared the points with a 4-4 draw.

There is a Cumbrian derby on Sunday, October 1, as Stanwix host GT7 Academy while Colne FC face Clitheroe Wolves.

Accrington Stanley play Bolton Wanderers as Sir Tom Finney welcome Chorley Women.

In the Championship on Sunday, September 24, Euxton moved into first place with a 5-4 against Horwich St Mary’s and Whitehaven AFC are up to second with a 0-3 win at Preston North End.

Penrith AFC won 0-2 at Lancaster City while Haslingden Ladies beat Blackburn Eagles 6-1.

Whitehaven AFC welcome Fleetwood Town Wrens on Sunday, October 1, knowing a win will send them top as Penrith AFC host Haslingden.

Lancaster City travel to Wigan Athletic and Horwich St Mary’s play Preston North End.

Haslingden play Blackburn Eagles and Lancaster City face Penrith AFC.

St. Annes beat Kendal Town 5-1 and Blackpool Town lost 5-3 Lostock St Gerards.

On Sunday, October 1, Sir Tom Finney can go joint top with victory at Kendal Town Ladies while Abbeytown Ladies game against Lostock St Gerards has been postponed.

St Annes head to Blackpool Town as Cadley FC play Chipping Ladies.

In the only games taking place had Radcliffe winning 0-9 at Blackburn Eagles and Clitheroe Wolves losing 0-9 to Langho.

Opening October leaders Lostock St Gerards face AFC Wigan, Langho play Blackburn Community as Euxton host Blackburn Eagles and Penwortham Town take on Clitheroe Wolves.
