A man has now been charged after Cumbria Police seized 400 cannabis plants in Whitehaven.

Officers gained entry to a property on King Street, Whitehaven on Tuesday morning, September 19, where 400 plants we located and seized by police.

Police have charged Defrim Xherri, 34, of no fixed abode, with being concerned in production of a controlled drug of Class B – cannabis.

He has been remanded in custody and will appeared before Workington Magistrates’ Court yesterday, September 20.
