Man Arrested And 400 Plants Seized After Cannabis Farm Discovered In Whitehaven

A man has been arrested after Cumbria Police discovered a cannabis farm in Whitehaven.

The arrest was made in the early hours of this morning, September 19, following entry being gained to a property on King Street.

Investigative activity remains ongoing as police conduct enquiries at the scene.

The 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and 400 plants were seized by police.

The seizure forms part of Operation Alliance – Cumbria Constabulary’s ongoing response to protect the county against serious and organised crime.
