Three people have been arrested as part of a joint investigation into a house fire on Lindisfarne Street in Carlisle.

Police were alerted to a fire shortly after 10:15pm on 24 August.

A man and a woman, both in their 20s, and another man in his 40s, all from Carlisle, have been arrested on suspicion of arson. They have since been released on police bail.

The investigation is ongoing and officers are still appealing for information regarding this incident.

Officers would ask anyone in the area with CCTV, dashcam and/or video doorbells to check their footage.
