A pop-up pizza van intends to add a new item to its menu in honour of a South Cumbrian racecourse.
Fiery Mammas, who are based in Kendal, will cook up the new creation and serve it up to the public at Cartmel Races over the August bank holiday weekend.

27-year-old Chloe Harley set up the business six months ago and says the Cartmel Races Pizza will be a culinary masterpiece that will tantalise the taste buds of racegoers.
“All I can say right now is that the pizza will incorporate the famous ‘Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding’ racegoers will have to wait to find out the other ingredients.”
Chloe came up with the idea for Fiery Mamma when she was working in France, and now runs the pizza van with friend and business partner Matthew Younger, with support from her parents Paula and Dave Harley.
She said: “I’d been working in France for three years and wanted something new and challenging and just randomly came up with the pizza van idea.
“I immediately called Matthew who had a pizza kitchen and the rest as they say is history.
“My parents own The Coffee Bug and they’ve been a huge help to us as they have been attending events for over 20 years, so have been on hand to offer advice and help us make contacts.”
Despite never making a pizza in her life, Chloe and Matthew sourced a horsebox online, created a brand, and transformed it into a fully functioning wood fired pizza van.
Now, they hand make all their dough and craft new and exciting pizzas every week, offering up their culinary delights at corporate functions, campsites and large scale events like Cartmel Races.
They have worked hard to be unique, not just with their choice of vehicle but also with their food, ensuring that there really is something for everyone.
“Along with the popular favourites we’ve also tried to introduce new and captivating flavours such as crispy duck pancake and onion bhaji pizza – which is really popular,” said Chloe.
The dynamic Fiery Mamma duo – and the Cartmel Races Pizza – will be there at both Cartmel Racedays at the end of this month for Saturday, August 26, is Cartmel Cup Day, followed by the season finale on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28.
Geraldine McKay, Director of Racing at Cartmel said: “I simply cannot wait to try the Cartmel Races Pizza that Chloe and Matthew are cooking up.
“By the sounds of things, it’s going to be quintessentially Cartmel – and, of course, delicious to boot.”
