A Carlisle man has been charged with multiple offences including burglary and shoplifting committed in Carlisle.

Michael Parker, of Stonegarth, Carlisle was charged with the following:

• Four counts of shoplifting
• Two counts of burglary
• Attempted burglary
• Using threatening/abusive behaviour with intent to cause fear of unlawful violence
• Vehicle interference
• Assault by beating
• Common assault
• Possession of class B – Cannabis

The 36-year-old will appear at North and West Cumbria Magistrates today, August 14.
