The Andrea Buggy Women’s Summer Cup and Summer Trophy competitions are shaping up to be very different.
In the Summer Cup Penrith AFC Ladies Rubies lead the way after a 2-0 win at home to Xtreme Fitness Ladies on Wednesday, July 12, while Workington Diamonds inflicted the first defeat of the season on Whitehaven AFC Ladies Blue with a narrow 4-3 win.
This leaves four teams on three points and Newlaithes bottom on zero but having played only the one game.
Whitehaven AFC Ladies Yellow top the Summer Trophy after a 1-8 win at Carlisle United Ladies Development.
Allerdale Wildcats drew 3-3 at Abbeytown and Stanwix Bees won 3-0 at home to Vickerstown.
Newlaithes will look to get off the mark at home to Workington Diamonds on Wednesday, July 19 as Whitehaven AFC Ladies Blue welcome Penrith AFC Ladies.
Vickerstown Ladies make the trip to Allerdale Wildcats and it’s a Carlisle battle as Carlisle United Ladies Development host Stanwix Bees.
All matches are a 7:15pm (19:15) kickoff.
