Cumbria Police Arrest Three Men Following Workington Burglary

Cumbria Police has arrested three men following a burglary at a shop in Workington, this morning.

In the early hours of this morning, July 3, Cumbria Police apprehended three individuals in connection with a burglary at a commercial property in Workington. 

The incident, which occurred at Trespass, located on Ivison Lane, was reported to the police at approximately 12:40 am.

The perpetrators gained entry by smashing a front window of the premises and made off with clothing estimated to be worth over £1,000. 

Promptly responding to the report, officers carried out an extensive investigation, leading them to a nearby flat.

During their inquiries, the police conducted a search of the flat, resulting in the arrest of two suspects. A 47-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, both residents of Whitehaven, were taken into custody on suspicion of burglary.

In addition to the burglary charges, a third individual, a 38-year-old man from Workington, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and handling stolen goods.

As of the time of this report, all three men are being held in police custody for further questioning and investigation.
