It is still to tight to call any of the divisions in the Cumbria Cricket League as a couple of good results or slip ups could change a teams season completely.
In the Premier Division 12 points now separates four teams as Cockermouth join Furness, Carlisle and Workington in the title fight.
League leaders Furness were put into bat at Egremont on Saturday, June 24 and Yash Dubey continued his impressive scoring run with 57 as they made 246 with Lewis Gribbin top scoring on 63.
In reply Egremont took it the full 50 overs as Vathsal Govind and Jack Thompson both made 30 as the home side reached 179.
Carlisle moved back into second with victory over Haverigg.
Batting first the visitors scored 250 with Marc Brown reaching 75 and Jonathan Davidson 51.
Taking it the full 50 overs Haverigg reached 163 with Umar Waheed making 67.
Workington dropped to third after home side Keswick restricted them to 140.
Batting first Thomas Fox top scored with 29 as all five of Keswick’s bowlers took wickets with Glen Weightman taking 4.
Weightman then scored 34 not out to take Keswick to 141 with Risith Upamal top scoring with 40.
All wickets fell as Cleator and Whitehaven both bowled each other out.
After losing the toss Whitehaven were put into bat and Terance Wade scored 89 as David Blackwell and Darren Clark took 6 wickets to dismiss the visitors for 180.
Cleator slumped to a 106 run defeat as they lost 7 wickets for 44 runs to finish on 74.
Lindal Moor were put into bat by visiting Cockermouth with Callum McDougall scoring 57 as they bowled out for 214.
Matthew Sempill’s 91 helped Cockermouth chase down Lindal Moor’s total reaching 215 and a victory that takes them 12 points off Furness.
In the lowest scoring game of the day Millom took a 1 wicket win against Wigton.
Winning the toss Wigton decided to bat first with Christopher Hodgson scoring 23 as they were bowled out for 90 and Declan Tyson took 5 wickets for 28 runs.
It was so close for Wigton as they took Millom to the last wicket but Luke Ivison scored 22 not out to secure the win.
On Saturday, July 1, Furness host Cleator, Carlisle welcome Lindal Moor, Workington take on Egremont and Cockermouth face Wigton.
Haverigg make the trip to Keswick and Millom travel to Whitehaven.

The top of Division One got a lot tighter as 5 points covers the top four after the games on on June 24.
Fourth placed Dalton successfully chased down Furness 2nd.
Dalton’s bowlers kept it tight as Cameron Baker took 4 wickets for 10 runs as home side Furness 2nd were restricted to 120 with Daniel Sharpe scoring 27.
Dalton’s Gareth Smith made 26 with Bradley Chapples’ 22 and Will Mitchell’s 20 helping take them to 124 as Lewis Woodend took 4 wickets for 18 runs.
In Cockermouth 2nd’s home game with Ulverston Bradley Marshall took 7 wickets for 25 runs as the home side were dismissed for 109.
Batting first Cockermouth’s Frazer Sealby scored 25 as Marshall ripped through their batting line up.
Ulverston then took 24 overs to reach 113 with Ben Dryden scoring 33.
Hosts Hawcoat Park won the toss and batted first making 213 with Chris Savage scoring a 120 not out against Millom 2nd.
Chasing Millom 2nd’s Fred Mcverry scored 89 not out as they reached 214.
Making the trip to Seascale Kirkby in Furness batted first having won the toss and were bowled out for 117 with James Humberstone making 26 as Jack Barwise took 7 wickets for 17 runs.
Despite Mark Etchells taking 5 wickets for 52 runs Seascale successfully chased Kirkby down with Adam Brown falling on 46 as they made 118.
Vickerstown traveled to Workington 2nd and batting first with John Burns’ 81 helping take the visitors to 160 as Paul McKeown took 5 wickets for 8 runs.
Callum Moffat’s unbeaten 124 gave Workington the foundation to go to 161.
Leaders Furness 2nd open July with a trip to third place Ulverston while second placed Millom 2nd host Cockermouth 2nd and fourth placed Dalton take on Workington 2nd.
Seascale welcome Hawcoat Park and Vickerstown play Kirkby in Furness.

Division Two leaders Whitehaven 2nd won the toss and put visitors Cleator 2nd into bat on June 24.
Going the full 40 overs Cleator reached 99 with Steven Wishart top scoring with 22.
In reply Whitehaven lost one wicket as Kian Larmour made 54 and Adam McGarry made 20 to take the home team to 105.
Ulverston 2nd won the toss and decided to bat first with Owen Dryden making 77 as they made 155.
Chasing Lindal Moor 2nd’s Billy Hughes made an unbeaten 94 as they lost one wicket on the way to 157.
Winning the toss Haverigg 2nd put hosts Dalton 2nd into bat and within 20 overs they had bowled them out for 60.
Haverigg didn’t hang around losing 7 wickets as they reached 62.
The damp weather got to the game between Barrow and Egremont 2nd on Sunday, June 25.
Winning the toss Barrow batted first with Jonah Lewis falling five short of his half century on 45 and Ollie Whalley making it to 50 as they were brought to a halt on 32 overs and 162.
A revised target of 144 from 26 overs was set for visitors Egremont and Lewis Hunter’s 30 top their innings scoring as they fell 7 runs short on 137.
All four games fall on Saturday, July 1, as leaders Whitehaven 2nd head to second placed Haverigg 2nd, Egremont 2nd will look to take advantage as they host Ulverston, Cleator 2nd face Dalton 2nd and Lindal Moor 2nd play Barrow.
