People Can Explore West Cumbria On The 300 Bus For Just £2 Until October

Cumbrian commuters, visitors and residents are being encouraged to jump on board the 300 bus to discover all West Cumbria has to offer.

As fuel prices show no sign of decreasing, more and more people are looking at alternative ways to travel.

For anyone living, working or commuting in West Cumbria, the 300 bus route offers the perfect way to remove the stress and cost of driving – and right now it couldn’t be cheaper.

Running until the end of October, Stagecoach is taking part in the Department for Transport’s nationwide scheme, capping all single fares at just £2.

Rob Jones, managing director at Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire said: “For commuters heading to Carlisle, our 300 bus route offers a great way to get a head start on your day as well as some fantastic locations to explore on a family day out.

“We hope to encourage more people to travel by bus for work commutes and beyond, to help improve the air quality across the region as well as help people spread their money further.”

The 300 bus route travels all the way from Workington to Carlisle and whatever your reasons for travel, it’s bound to offer something to make you consider getting on board.

Not only does taking the bus allow you to save on fuel costs, but with free wifi on board, the majority of vehicles boasting USB charging points and no issues with parking at your destination, it is bound to make the morning commute a little easier. Plus, it means you never need to turn down after-work drinks again.
