There was no change at the top of the Andrea Buggy Women’s League as Whitehaven AFC Ladies Blue still lead the division with the gap to fifth placed Workington Diamonds only 7 points.

These two sides know each other well from the North West Women’s Regional league as Penrith AFC Ladies Rubies faced Carlisle United Ladies Development on Wednesday, June 14.

The beaten Cumberland Cup finalists got a small dose of revenge with a 4-1 win over their local rivals.

Table toppers Whitehaven AFC Ladies Blue made the trip to Stanwix Juniors Ladies and came home with a 1-5 win while their sister team Whitehaven AFC Ladies Yellow beat Abbeytown Ladies 2-0.

In the all Allerdale battle Workington Diamonds ran out 7-0 at home to Allerdale Wildcats as Vickerstown Ladies were beaten 0-4 by Xtreme Fitness Ladies.

Stanwix are the team taking a breather this round as leaders Whitehaven AFC Blue host Vickerstown while Penrith AFC Rubies face Xtreme Fitness on Wednesday, June 21.

Allerdale Wildcats take on Whitehaven AFC Yellow, Abbeytown play Newlaithes and Carlisle United Development welcome Workington Diamonds.

All matches are a 7:15pm (19:15) kickoff.
