REVIEW: Greatest Days ‘A Feel Good Summer Hit’

By Gary

The music of Take That, a heart warming story and the streets of Athens come together in this summer musical.

The plot of the film is fairly simple as four friends reunite for a reunion concert in Athens, Greece.

Greatest Days is a nice feel-good movie that I feel people should go and see this summer to enjoy themselves.

It is so refreshing to see a movie that isn’t a Superhero movie. I am not really a fan of musicals generally, but it was just a nice change to every other movie we get at the cinema.

This is an adaptation of the stage show The Band or Greatest Days as it has been renamed to and the original band were chosen through the BBC show Let It Shine, it will be going back on tour.

Aisling Bea and Lara McDonnell play Rachel, Alice Lowe and Eliza Dobson play Heather, Amaka Okafor and Nandi Sawyers-Hudson play Zoe, Jayde Adams and Carragon Guest play Claire as the musical bounces between the decades.

The girls back in the 90s and Take That’s first incarnation

Greatest Days is a very English musical movie, I’m not sure how an American audience will react to this a film based on the music of Take That, I doubt most American’s will even know who Take That are?

It is also a very powerful movie that may make you cry.

Could it be magic?

Yes, it really could.

My Rating: 7/10
