The full Best of Boof Festival line-up is here and the UK no.1’s, The Lottery Winners and Bad Nerves join Cast and The View as headliners of the final event.
It was confirmed at the beginning of 2023 this year’s event would be the ‘last for the forseeable’ and instead organisers would be celebrating almost two decades of the West Cumbrian festival.
The Best of the Boof, which takes place over the weekend of August 18 and 19, will have Bad Nerves, The Lottery Winners, Tijuana Bibles and Tom Hingley and the Kar-Pets would be taking main stage slots, after previously announcing The View and Cast as festival headliners.
The full line-up was announced in a social media post today, Friday, June 16, where organisers called it the ‘ultimate end of an era’, saying: “After 17 amazing years we announce our final line-up with a mix of the best artists we’ve ever had grace our stages.”
Many local Cumbrian bands will also be performing for the final festival including; The Northern Threads, Reptilians, Springfield, Colt 45, Little Lies, Danny Dunnery, and many more, alongside several DJs on the 4Play stage and the main stage.
Talking about their return to Cumbria, The Lottery Winners’ Thom Rylance told The Herdwick News: “[Returning to Cumbria feels] nostalgic and beautiful. Feels like returning to the place where we found our feet. Danny has booked us for years, way before anyone else was interested.
“It’s the end of an era, and we really do thank the Boof for everything they’ve done for us, other bands and music lovers.”
Tickets for the final Boof Festival, which takes place at Copeland Stadium, in Whitehaven, go on sale today at midday and prices start from £30 and can be found HERE.
