Cumbria Police has confirmed the second boy who was pulled from the River Eden last month has sadly died.
On May 26 a group of teenagers got into difficultly while in the River Eden, in Carlisle.
One of the group managed to swim to safety, while another was rescued safely by a member of the public.
However, sadly, 15-year-old Lewis Michael Kirkpatrick died from the incident and a 14-year-old was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
The 14-year-old passed away in the early hours of June 15 and, at the time of writing, had not been identified.
A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
