Carlisle Man Jailed For ‘String Of Sexualised Behaviours In Public’

A Carlisle man has been jailed after admitting to a string of sexualised behaviours in public.

Samuel Ramos jailed for 18 months.

Samuel Ramos, of London Road, Carlisle, pleaded guilty and was sentenced today at Carlisle Crown court for exposure, two counts of outraging public decency and a public order offence.

The offences relate to incidents committed in and around Carlisle City Centre between February 20 and March 9, 2023 where Ramos was seen performing sexual acts in public places.

The 27-year-old was sentenced to 18 months in prison, issued with a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be entered onto the sexual offenders’ register.

Speaking after the sentencing, PC Rebecca Lynch said: “We take all reports of sexual offences seriously and work hard to do our best for all victims of such crimes.

“I hope that this case encourages victims of such crimes to report incidents such as these to the police. Victims will receive support from sensitive professionals.”
