Shirt Supplier Macron Team Up With Amateur Sport Clubs To Raise Money For The NHS

Amateur sport clubs are uniting with shirt supplier Macron to raise funds for the NHS, following COVID-19 causing all sports tournaments to be called off.

The Bury based company, who are supplying Scottish Premier League side Hibernian FC with there 2020/21 home shirt with “Thank you NHS” on in place of a sponsor.

On the Macron Store Manchester website they explained: “On the back of this, we are launching with clubs something similar and selling a one-off shirt that can be used for training or just for leisure with the club badge and “Thank You NHS” logo.  

“£5.00 from every sale will be donated to the NHS.  This is open to all of our current clubs, or any club who wants to get involved in raising much needed funds for our NHS.”

Since announcing the fund raising effort on 26 April, at the time of writing, 50 clubs have joined with £4,000 raised so far.

This has not just been a Manchester based effort as Cumbrian sides have joined in as Carlisle City, Cleator Moor Celtic, Penrith AFC, Holker Old Boys AFC, Windscales, Mirehouse AFC and Workington Reds Ladies have so far added there shirts to the effort.
