A fire near Temple Sowerby was reported as a caravan and a LGV with tractor was put out by Penrith Fire Station.
Just before 1am on Saturday, May 11, both appliances from Penrith were mobilised to reports of a large fire in the open near Temple Sowerby.

Enroute there were further calls to 999 confirming that this fire was involving one Caravan, one LGV carrying a Tractor and a large quantity of general rubbish.
The fire crews used two officers in breathing apparatus with hose reel jets initially then moved onto compressed air foam to fully extinguish the fire.
The fire crews were on scene for just over 2 hours.
